A social club designed for teens and adults with varying needs, including autism and intellectual disabilities.

We will offer a variety of engaging activities to foster new friendships and build relationships.

Sessions will include board games, karaoke, arts & crafts, video games and more.

In Apron Adventures, our tiniest foodies (ages 3-5) will explore the joys of cooking through simple, hands-on recipes made with healthy ingredients.

From mixing to measuring, each session is designed to spark curiosity about food while teaching basic kitchen skills in a safe, playful environment.

Get ready for big smiles, little messes, and lots of tasty discoveries!

Our Next Generation All-Stars: Spring Sports Edition is a high-energy, 6-week adventure designed to introduce your little one's to a variety of popular sports in a fun and supportive environment.

Perfect for ages 3 to 5, this program helps spark early interest in athletics while building teamwork, confidence, and social skills along the way.

Each week, we'll dive into a new sport giving toddlers the chance to learn the basics and burn off some energy!

T-shirts are included for all participants! Just bring closed-toe athletic shoes, a water bottle, and get ready to move!

  • Daily - Monday to Friday - 9am to 6pm (no rentals after 6pm)
  • Saturday - 9am to 5pm (no rentals after 5pm)
  • Sunday - 12pm to 5pm (no rentals after 5pm)

Ages: all (minors should be accompanied by an adult)

  • 30 min - $3

The Pedal Pushers Bike Program is back and we're ready for some fun! Join us for a fun ride learning about our park while enjoying a half-mile scenic view of our new walking trail! This program is designed for park visitors to rent bikes and ride throughout Hunter Park's Walking Trail, which oversees the lake, our historical Southern Railway Heritage Caboose, and ThunderChief jet landmarks. Our goal is to create opportunities for neighbors to build relationships, and take ownership of their shared environment, building a resilient community. The available bike paths offer a beginner and experienced trail for all to enjoy so let's get our hearts pumping and our legs moving!

Here is a map, and please bring your own helmet! They are not required but are strongly encouraged.

Special Talents Entirety Program (S.T.E.P.) is an inclusive coed dance program designed for special needs youth with intellectual/physical disabilities and/or delays.

Our skill sets include:

  • Street Rhythm - An urban fusion of both Jazz & Hip-Hop with a focus on rhythm & inspiration.
  • Cheer dance - Combining the worlds of dance & cheer alike to create a high energy experience.

Swim Lessons

Join us for fun and skill-building swim lessons designed for children and teens ages 5 to 17.

Lessons are grouped by age to provide age-appropriate instruction and support.

Dates: Saturdays, June 14 - July 26 (no class on July 5).

Where: Jessie Davis Park Pool, 7775 Malone Street.

Times and Age Groups: 5 to 8 years old from 9:30 AM to 10 AM, 9 to 12 years old from 10:20 AM to 10:50 AM, 13 to 17 years old from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM.

Fee: $30 per session.

Taekwondo

For ages 5 - 18 

Description: Students will learn balance/agility, coordination, mental sharpness, discipline and self-confidence. Rank advancement is encouraged through motivation goal setting, and above all, perseverance.

Walking Tracks

Each City Park offers a walking track.

Jessie Davis Park includes both indoor and outdoor tracks.

Hunter Park features two trails around the lake.

Parks are open daily from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM.

 

Weight Watchers

Join the Weight Watchers chapter at Hunter Park.
